# Voltage Drop Calculator > Voltage Drop Calculator: a free voltage drop calculator for electricians and DIYers, run entirely in the browser, no sign-up required. Sitemap: https://voltagedropcalculator.xyz/sitemap.xml ## Tools - [Voltage Drop Calculator](https://voltagedropcalculator.xyz/): Enter current, distance, wire gauge and material to see the voltage drop, percentage and NEC pass/fail. - [Voltage Drop Chart](https://voltagedropcalculator.xyz/voltage-drop-chart/): AWG/kcmil circular mils reference table and maximum distance by current, at a glance. - [Voltage Drop Formula](https://voltagedropcalculator.xyz/voltage-drop-formula/): The formula explained step by step, with the algebra solved for wire size and distance. ## About this site Voltage Drop Calculator computes the voltage drop, voltage-drop percentage and voltage at the load for a copper or aluminum conductor run, given the load current, one-way distance, wire gauge (AWG or kcmil) and circuit type (single-phase/DC or three-phase). It uses the standard NEC formula (VD = 2*K*I*L/CM for single-phase/DC, VD = 1.732*K*I*L/CM for three-phase, with K=12.9 for copper and K=21.2 for aluminum) and NEC Chapter 9 Table 8 circular-mil values, and shows an automatic pass/fail readout against the NEC-recommended 3% branch-circuit / 5% combined voltage-drop guidance. Everything runs locally in the browser, no input is sent to or stored on a server. Site: https://voltagedropcalculator.xyz
